Quotable Quotes - The "Poison Pill"

Vicente Wolf Couch at Ralph Pucci
Since we are a collective of compassionate creatives (how's that for alliteration?!) I thought this week addressing the constant design conundrum "when to say when" would be fun.  In art school you spend countless hours discussing the skill of knowing when to quit, back away from the piece and allow it to be finished.  Is this ever easy? NO!

Thus the quote of the day...

"The designer Andree Putman taught me about what she called the 'Poison Pill,'" says Ralph Pucci.  "That's when you add that one extra detail that isn't necessary - like the added spice that ruins the dish..." (Elle Decor, July/August 2012, pg.98)

Don't you love that?

I know I've been known to overdose on the Poison Pill from time to time:-/

{Back story - Andree Putnam and Ralph Pucci are fantastic, modern minimalist designers of interior objects and furniture.  They are both disciplined masters at knowing when to stop}

Have a great and PRODUCTIVE week!
