Weekly Wednesday Giveaway 6-24-09

EtsyVeg's Weekly Wednesday giveaway!

Now every week brings a new chance to win a fabulous creation(s) from one of our team's talented vegan or vegetarian EtsyVeg artisans. :)

This week, one winner will receive these ooak "Rock and River" earrings from Rebecca of KneeDeepOriginals! The earrings dangle from sterling silver, No-Slip french earwires, and hang just shy of 1 1/2 inches from the bottom loop. They are beaded with beautiful creamy-gray African Opal discs, clear Czech glass crystals, and a peach cat's eye round. At the very bottom of the dangle hides a gorgeous shimmery crystal.

How to enter? Comment here, naming BOTH your favorite object in nature and why (since Rebecca's earrings and most of her art pieces are made from natural elements) AND the link to your favorite item in Rebecca's shop and why you like it (comments must include all mentioned info and the item link for entry to be valid). And don't forget to leave an email address or Etsy shop name so we can contact you if you win.
It's that easy! Better yet, win an extra entry by Tweeting to @etsyveg about our giveaway and then posting about it here, or by posting about it on FB and sending a 'print screen' shot of your post to etsyveg@gmail.com. That means up to 3 chances to win!

Enter by 12 midnight EST, Monday, June 29th. Winner will be randomly selected, and notified by Wednesday, July 1st. Good luck!

Look for our next giveaway this time next week! :)

**If winner does not respond within 30 days of initial contact, the prize will be awarded to another giveaway entrant.

My favorite thing in nature are the beautiful trees in our forests. Not only do they provide us with oxygen, but they are home to many creatures. Sitting under a huge tree is the perfect place to have a picnic or read a book, they provide shade in hot days. When it snows, the trees look equally as beautiful when covered in a layer of snow and ice.

I love this:

I love trees! I have always loved the gracefulness of branches; the quiet rustling leaves and the wonderful shade beneath them. In the shop I liked the Moon over the Mountain OOAK. That is a lovely piece...it too is graceful...calming and a lovely shade of pink!http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=20575946

I love the summer white necklace - it's shiny! Actually, it's very pretty, and would go well with a dark turtleneck in winter, or a tank top in summer.

In nature, I love the hills of Pennsylvania. I think the striations of colors and jagged edges are a tribute to the raw beauty of the earth. They calm me everytime I drive through.

My favorite natural object is a river-rock! Really! Two elements in one, at a bare minimum, and they are so very comforting to hold. And it reveals the polish on stones no jeweler would touch!

My favorite thing in the shop? This necklace!
Summer Earth:

Because the solid stones and delicate wirework are such a lovely contrast!

I love succulents, like echeveria and pebble plants. They seem so rich and subtle and full of life. I would love a succulent garden, but I don't live in the right place, so I have to content myself with a few plants on my windowsill.

I love these earrings: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=26177107

I love this necklace, very earthy.

My favorite part of nature is the Earth, the actual dirt. As a gardener I am always interested in how my soil is doing. I test it, add organic matter to it,smell it, feel it. It is alive here, life giving.
I also love the worms in it.
