January's Monthly Creative Challenge- "Hopeful Year"

You are cordially invited to play, get more involved with the team, get inspired, share your talent, take advantage of some free promotion... and get amped for the new year!

January's team creative challenge is all about facing the new year with joy, hope, fun, and cheerfulness! Thanks to Lisa of pandawithcookie for coming up with the terrific theme of "hopeful year," and the idea of entering fun items "that might perk one up for the coming year" and "Lessen Your Recession Depression." :) We can't wait to see your hope-instilling pieces inspired by fun, lightness, and cheer! :D The challenge is very subjective to interpretation, so enter whatever handmade creations, vintage goods, and supplies fit the theme for you! ;)

The EtsyVeg monthly challenge is meant to inspire, recognize, and promote team members and our shops; to spread the word about vegan/vegetarian lifestyles; and to raise awareness about the rights of animals to live free of exploitation. Here's how to enter...

*Challenge Guidelines*

~Participation is open to any EtsyVeg team member. Members of Cruelty-FreeEtsy and VeganEtsy are also invited to join (spread the word).

~Entry involves simply posting applicable items in your shop with the tag "hopefulyear" (one word, without the quotations). You must also have your entry tagged with the official team tag, "etsyveg team."

~Deadline for entry is January 30th.

~At least one entry per participant will be featured in the EtsyVeg blog at the end of January.

~All team members (not just participants) are invited throughout the month to initiate forum threads about the challenge, make treasuries by doing a tag search for "etsyveg team" with "hopefulyear" and putting only those items in the treasury, or to generate other types of promotion. (If you do any of these, please let everyone know so that we can all post or click to keep it going!)

Members, we are now taking suggestions for team-challenge themes for March and April. Post any ideas to the Google discussion group for voting. And get to brainstorming now for February's challenge, "Hearts and Flowers." :)

~*Happy creating!*~
