It's the first day of summer- allow this treasury of cool tropical colors to quench your thirst and chill your mind! Add a generous squeeze of talent and you've got all the ingredients for heat-beating perfection!
"Flesh eating is simply immoral, as it involves the performance of an act which is contrary to moral feeling: killing. By killing, man suppresses in himself, unnecessarily, the highest spiritual capacity, that of sympathy and pity towards living creatures like himself, and by violating his own feelings becomes cruel."
EtsyVeg's very first creative challenge in May turned up some great entries! Now that June is upon us, our next monthly challenge is underway!
The "JuneChallenge" theme, courtesy of Heather of aktie9, is... *drum roll*... SALADS! The "salad" theme can be interpreted literally or loosely to keep it eclectic. Creations can look like salads or even use salad! They can blend any number of different items together, like a necklace with many kinds of stones or a scarf with many colors of thread or a collage of some kind. Whatever- as usual, it's all subjective.
~The challenge is meant to inspire, recognize, and promote team members and our shops and to raise awareness about vegan/vegetarian lifestyles & the rights of animals to live free of exploitation.
~Participation is open to any EtsyVeg team member. Members of CrueltyFreeEtsy and VeganEtsy are also invited to join (spread the word).
~Entry involves simply posting applicable items in your shop with the tag "saladchallenge" (all one word, and without the quotations). These can be new items created with the challenge in mind or items already in your shop that fit the theme.
~Deadline for entry is June 30th.~One entry per participant will be featured in the EtsyVeg blog at the beginning of July.
~Entrants will suggest possible themes for July to be voted on toward the end of June.
~All team members (not just participants) are invited throughout the month of June to initiate forum threads about the challenge, make treasuries by doing a tag search for saladchallenge (again, all one word) and putting only those items in the treasury, or to generate other types of promotion. (If you do any of these, please let everyone know so that we can all post or click to keep it going!)
Enjoy creating! Can't wait to see what everyone "tosses up!" :)
